About Genevieve

Genevieve Knights (nee McGough) is an Auckland based chef, food writer, food stylist and food photographer. After working in Auckland's restaurants for 16 years as a chef, she decided on a change of direction and began developing, writing and photographing recipes.

Her writing style is largely influenced by the solid technical background of classical training combined with the experience of working for some of Auckland's most innovative chefs. 2005 saw the release of her first cookbook Basic But Brilliant published by Penguin as well as contributing to Cuisine Magazine as a food writer.

2006 saw the release of her recipe greeting card range, 2007 calendar and recipe cards for Tatua Farms - a Morrinsville based food manufacturer of foodservice and retail products.

Most recently, Genevieve has joined Foodtown Magazine as regular contributor.
